Réimplanté au Liban, il puise dans la Réserve mon­diale de semences de l’île norvégienne du Svalbard pour les dupliquer – une transaction qui engage le quotidien d’acteurs géographiquement et politique­ment éloignés.

Based in Aleppo, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas, was forced to relocate due to the war, and lost its collection of seeds. Re-established in Lebanon, it has replaced the seeds using the Global Seed Vault on the Norwegian island of Svalbard – a transaction where geographically and politically distant actors interact on a daily basis.
