Dans ce long métrage, dont la réalisation prit plus d’un an, Ogawa se range aux côtés d’un groupe d’étudiants barricadés dans une petite université de province. Ce film institua les procédés cinématographiques du réalisateur et galvanisa le mouvement étudiant.
Shot over a year, the film takes sides with a group of young students barricaded in a small, provincial university. The film that established Ogawa's method of filmmaking and galvanised the student movement.
