    MINZAYAR OO
    Minzayar is a Burmese photojournalist and documentary photographer whose first international breakthrough came when his image of democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi appeared on the front page of the International Herald Tribune during the country’s 2012 by-elections. He has won an award at the Yangon Photo Festival in 2016 for The Curse of Jade. For A New Reality, Along My River, Minzayar Oo took a VR camera very close into the daily-life of the ordinary people living along the river in his hometown, Yangon.

    ALI ESLAMI
    Iranian artist and researcher, Ali Eslami aims to shift human perception through virtual reality. His documentary, Death Tolls, is a chilling reflection on death in international conflict. His work was honored in 2016 during the IDFA DocLab.

    GABO ARORA
    Gabo Arora is the first-ever Creative Director at the United Nations; Founder & President of LightShed, a virtual reality and social impact start-up. His work focuses on new technologies that promote social causes and make decision-making processes more inclusive. The documentary Ground Beneath Her is about the earthquake that struck Nepal in April of 2015 displaced over 3 million people. It follows a blacksmith’s daughter as she learns to balance the everyday duties of a fractured home with her own dreams for the future.
